Welcome to the Moorsbridge Music Department!
This site is designed to supplement and inform students and parents with
concepts being covered in class as well as offer other useful information and
resources. If you have any questions or comments about the site, please
contact me through the email link.
Site Features:
• About the Teacher” This will give you information on Mrs. Working,
the Music Educator at Moorsbridge Elementary. If you have additional
questions for Mrs. Working, feel free to email her at any time.
• “Frequently Asked Questions” This section hopes to answer your
questions about the music program both at Moorsbridge and in the Portage
Public Schools in general.
• “What’s Up in Music Class?” Here is where parents can find out what
students are working on music class. Mrs. Working updates this page regularly
(she hopes!) and does her best to keep parents informed. As always, parents
are encouraged to ask questions about what students are learning at school
and are always welcome to visit music class anytime.
• Recorder Information: Fingering charts and other informational items
are currently available, including video clips of recorder players.
• “Wish List”: This is a list of items Mrs. Working would love to have
donated to the music room. If you can help out, please choose something from
the list and drop it off in the music room. THANK YOU!
• “”Music Lessons Available: This section includes instructors in the
Kalamazoo/Portage area who offer private and/or group instruction. I am
posting their information based on positive feedback from students and
parents. This page is not meant to endorse or promote any single group or
individual as an instructor. If you have an instructor you would like to have
added to the page, please send Mrs. Working the information and she will post
it.
• “Music Advocacy”: This page contains information about the importance
of music in all of our lives, not just the lives of our children.
• “What do you like about Music Class this year?” This is a blog page
and students can share their favorite activities of the year. All comments
come to Mrs. Working first, so if you do not want your comment posted, please
indicate “Please do not post” either at the beginning or end of your blog
comment.
