JANUARY
  • The Holidays are over and it is time to get back to the real world.  During this time of year I tend to cover a big chunck of the curriculum.  It is a serious yet exciting time for the 8th graders as they need to begin to start transitioning into a high school mentality.

  • Friday, January 15th is an early release and Monday January 18th is Martin Luther King Day.  Try to spend a part of your day reflecting on all the great things that we have experienced because of this amazing person.

  • I will continue to  send home a skills practice worksheet that is due on Fridays.  In the past some students have not turned these in and it has affected their grades.  The practice worksheet enables students to experience drill and practice type problems, while learning new concepts that are not always covered in our text book.  THEY ARE VERY IMPORTANT!!

Parents:  please check to make sure that your child has the correct supplies for school.  Each student is required to have a binder, spiral notebook and planner in math class along with pencils.  Many students are asking me for these items and students need to be prepared for class instead of borrowing or begging for these items.
