I believe that all students can achieve an appreciation for music. Music
education provides students with a lifelong opportunity to appreciate all
venues of artistic expression and stimulates the student intellectually,
emotionally, and socially. I further believe that participation in musical
ensembles instills the necessary job market skills of teamwork, self-
discipline, responsibility, and concentration into an individual.
In order to gain these benefits from music, I believe that all students have
a right to an orderly, well-supervised classroom in which they are aware of
what is expected of them. The experiences a student has in school should
prepare them for the experiences they will encounter in the future.
