Week of December 14, 2009
The cold weather is here!! Please dress your child in appropriate clothes
and boots. We will go out as long as the temperature and wind chill are at
least 20 degrees. One more reminder, please put your child's hat and
mittens in their coat sleeve so that we do not have to look in bookbags for
warm winter clothes. Thank you.
Do you have your preschool phone tree close at hand? It is on the back of
the class lists with the addresses that was sent home some time ago. When
you get the call, you are responsible to call the name directly below
yours. If there is no answer, leave a message and then call the next number
below. These calls come very early. And it is always a good idea now that
snow days are a real possibility to keep an ear to school closings. St.
Michael is closed when Wayne-Westland schools are closed. If for some
reason we are closed and Wayne-Westland is not, listen for St. Michael
Wayne. (There is a St. Michael Canton and one in Livonia, too.)
Preschool sings at the 7 pm Advent service on Wednesday of this week. There
is a soup and salad supper before the church service that begins at
5:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. A basket is available for a free
will offering to defray the cost of the meal. The money that remains goes
to support the Angel Tree mission project at St. Michael.
Class Christmas parties are Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
NO SCHOOL - December 18th through January 3rd - CHRISTMAS
