Third Grade Announcements for the Week of November 30-
1. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are ready to begin the
season of Advent! We will participate daily in an Advent prayer to prepare
the students for Christmas. It would be nice if something could be done at
home as well (as a family) to better your child's heart for the coming of the
Lord.
2. St. Nick shopping begins this week. The 3rd grade will be shopping on
Tuesday. Please send money with your child on Tuesday if you are allowing
them to Christmas shop. It may also be hepful if they had a list of those
that they will be shopping for and an amount intended to spend for each
person on their list.
3. Midterms will be sent home on Friday. Please be looking for it in your
child's Homework Folder. It should be signed and returned on Monday.
4. There will be a Math Topic Test on Wednesday this week. I will post a
practice test for them on the Pearsonsuccessnet website to try if able to.
We will then begin our next topic on Multiplication.
5. This Friday the third grade will be celebrating the Sacrament of
Reconciliation.
6. Just a reminder that students may correct mistakes on their assignments
that have been graded and returned to them. They should focus on correcting
those papers with numerous mistakes. This is good review for them, but more
importantly, it will help to improve their grades.
7. The third graders (thanks to Mrs. Vondrasek) have made decorations for a
tree sponsored by Dr. Edgar Brown for the Festival of Trees. The decorated
trees can be seen in Corunna at the Community Center during the next two
weekends. Hope you have a chance to check it out!
8. Please get in touch with Mrs. Ardelean or Mrs. Reale if you would like to
help in any way with the third grade Christmas party on December 18.
***3rd grade Classroom Parties
Our next party will be for Christmas. This will be on Friday, December 18.
Mrs. Reale and Mrs. Ardelean will be in charge. Please call them if you would
like to help in any way.
Each family may be called to help with goodies and treats for at least one
party. If you would like to help with any of the parties please get in touch
with our party planners.
Halloween---Kristi Crane(planner)
Christmas---Christina Ardelean, Jan Reale (planners)
Valentines---Annette Bueche, Kristy Crane(planners)
**Trecha's have invited the third grade to come to the Capitol Bowl for our
Valentines party. Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Trecha!
**Please keep in mind that parents planning and/or attending parties need to
be Virtus trained. You may take the training on line.
Parents also need to be trained to do any volunteering, driving or
chaperoning for any of the classrooms. It would be wise for all parents to
get trained in Virtus.
