FURTHER CLARIFICATION!

 

If you want to do ANYTHING in your child's classroom-volunteer for parties, tutoring, planning, driving, Gallery On the Go, work at the St. Nick Shop, Carnival or WHEREVER you will be with our school children, you MUST have VIRTUS TRAINING. Call Gina Moskal or sign up for a session on-line at any location. This has to be enforced. We have a directive from the Diocese affirming this needed protection for our students.

 

Dear Parents,

        Because the schools of the Diocese of Lansing care about the safety of all children, we have made it a policy that any who works as an employee or volunteer in any capacity in our schools must receive the VIRTUS training, "Protecting God's Children". That includes drivers for field trips, classroom volunteers, coaches, lunch workers, library aids, etc.

You only have to come to one training session in order to be cleared to work with children in any school setting.

The next scheduled training at St. Paul's will be held October 5 in  the Fr. Whelan Room, 6:30-9:30 PM.

You may register on-line at www.virtusonline.org  Gina Moskal, our Director of Religious Education is conducting the training.

 

So, if you want to be an active participant in your child's school, please arrange with Gina to be attending this session, or do it yourself, on-line. If you cannot make this session Gina can help you find another place/day/time for this necessary,

one-time-only, training.
