Dear Parents,
Yesterday we began the holy season of Advent during which we prepare to
thank God for sending us His Son who demonstrated, by His life, how much the
Father loves us and wanted us to be reunited with Him. Each morning, grades K-
4 begin the day with an Advent prayer service in the Library (9:00-9:10). You
are welcome to share this time with us any time you are in the building.
St. Nick Shop opens Tuesday, Wednesday, and closes at 10:00 Thursday. If you
want your child to purchase inexpensive presents for family members, our
shopping day/time is Wednesday, 12:30-1:00. Please return the sheet sent in
the "Friday Folder" indicating who and how much you want your child to spend
on that person, along with the money. If you would like to be there to shop
with your child, you may. Or, you can come Tuesday from 3:00-4:00 when it
will be open to parents and staff to shop. Proceeds help the Home/School
Council projects.
Our class is responsible for helping with the Mass on Dec.16, 9:00. If your
child has a speaking part, I will send home his/her reading/petition for
practice. We will have a lot of practice at school, but your encouragement to
read slowly and clearly is very helpful. If your child does not read this
time, s/he will have an opportunity to do so at our other Masses (March17, or
May 19).
