Hello!
Welcome to another year of learning and growing at St. Paul's! I am
excited to be with you on your journey! We can all learn together because,
truly, no ONE of us is as smart as ALL of us!
This year, I will be teaching the 5th-8th grade science classes, as well as
7th grade religion and 6th grade math. I will also be the 7th grade homeroom
teacher.
I have four children. Deirdre, a recent University of Michigan graduate, is
currently working in New York City with two publishing firms. Aidan, a
recent graduate of Siena Heights University, is now enrolled in a graduate
program at Loyola University in Chicago. Erin is a sophomore at Aquinas
College in Grand Rapids. Molly is a 7th grader here at St. Paul's.
I am a graduate of Albion College, where I received my B.A. in Bioethics. I
am also a graduate of the Univ. of Michigan-Flint, where I received my
Master's Degree in Elementary Education with concentrations in Science and
in Language Arts. I am a true believer in life-long learning!
I hope you are all excited for the school year. Attitude is everything!
My mission for our classes will be that they are safe, comfortable,
interesting places for learning. The BEST learning comes in an environment
where everyone feels free to speak, and to think. I envision a classroom
where we are ALL trying our best, patient with one another, eager to help
each other, polite to everyone, and role s for all. I want us to
remember that Jesus is right here in the classroom with us at all times, in
the face of each of our classmates and every other person we encounter. We
can choose to be people of peace as Jesus did and promote the Gospel message
every day.
