Hello and welcome to the 4th grade website. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I graduated from Central Michigan University (a long time ago) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. My major is Language Arts. I also hold a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching and Instruction from Michigan State University. I have taught at St. Pius X Catholic School for 25 years! I love working with 4th graders
I have been married for 27 years, and we have two children. Jenna is a senior at Grand Valley State University; majoring in Broadcast News. Even in these economic times, she is confident she will have a job as a reporter/broadcaster when she walks across the stage to receive her diploma. My husband and I are sure she will too, but it will most likely be out of state. Jarred is a senior in high school. He keeps us busy with Cross Country, Quiz Bowl, Track and NHS. He is searching for the college that fits him best to attend next year while making the most of his senior year.
My mother has a cottage on Lake Huron, and it is my favorite get-away. I love long walks on the beach, sitting on the swing watching the waves roll in, and our bon fires in the evening. There is no TV up north so we truely enjoy family time. My favorite vacation spot is Marathon Key in Florida. It's like traveling to the Carribean, without leaving the country.
