About The Teacher

Thank you for visiting my web page!!  I absolutely love teaching art here in 
Stockbridge.

I live in Pinckney with my husband, Dave.  We live in a log cabin and enjoy 
camping, boating and relaxing. I love to do ceramics, repurposed crafts and 
gardening in the summer.

My education and experience background is an Elementary Education bachelor's 
degree from Eastern Michigan University, with a major in Science and a minor 
in Art. I taught self-contained classroom in grade 2, 4 and 5 for four years 
Westland and Romulus before coming to Stockbridge.

I began teaching art in Stockbridge in 1999. There was no program for art in 
the elementary schools at the time, so we began by creating an art program 
that combined core curriculum subjects with art projects.

The elementary art program has evolved over the years as our state and 
national educational goals change.  The advances in technology have also 
influenced the direction of the program.  Our elementary art program 
continues to grow, mature and reflect the creativity of our students.
