About The Teacher
Thank you for visiting my web page!! I absolutely love teaching art here in Stockbridge. I live in Pinckney with my husband, Dave. We live in a log cabin and enjoy camping, boating and relaxing. I love to do ceramics, quilting and gardening in the summer. My educational and experience background is a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University, with a major in Science and a minor in Art. I am half way through my Master's program at Eastern. I taught for three years in grades 2 and 4/5 in a charter school in Westland. I also taught reading and fourth grade in Romulus Public schools for a year. I began in Stockbridge in 1999 as a substitute teacher and then began teaching art, hired by the PTA. I was hired the following year to teach art full time. I began by creating an art program that combined core curriculum subjects with art projects. The art program has been supported by the school and I have been expanding that program ever since.
