A Peek of the Week:
Math: Unit 1: Place Value
Science: Designer animal project is due. We will review throughout the week
(Jeopardy on Tues ☺). The science test will be on WEDNESDAY MORNING.
Social Studies: Unit 1: Our National Story: Events That Shaped Our Nation.
Lesson 7 – A Modern World
- Students will learn how major conflicts help to shape the nation.
Writing: We are working on the organization trait of writing. Students are
working on writing an interesting hook, sequencing events, using transitions,
and writing a satisfying ending. Students will be working on writing a
personal narrative about a memorable moment in their life. We are also
finishing up chapter 1 in the English book (nouns, subjects/predicates, types
of sentences, and correcting run-on sentences).
Reading: Theme 2 – American Stories. We will begin selection 3: “Boss of the
Plains”
Our holiday party will be on Wednesday Dec. 21st. Please remember to send in a
book for your child to exchange.
The science test is on Wednesday morning – please continue studying every night ☺
