Media Center Policies
Each student is allowed to check out books each week during their scheduled
class book check out time. While the books are checked out to the student,
it is the students responsibility to take care of the books and return them
to the Media Center within a set period of time.
As a special incentive to the Reading Counts program, students who pass a
computer generated comprehension test are allowed to return their book early
and get a new selection.
Student conduct is especially important here in the Media Center. A quiet,
calm atmosphere where the learner can function is expected and encouraged.
Students are to speak quietly, treat everyone and everything with respect.
Demonstrating responsibility and the proper handling of books is stressed.
Lost and damaged books must be paid for before a student is allowed to check
out another book, receive their report card, or participate in class
functions.
