Teaching With WebQuests

Task

As mentioned in the introduction, your task is to create a WebQuest in your content area of 
expertise.  You will need to include the following pages in your WebQuest.

1) Introduction:  This page introduces your WebQuest and establishes what the students are being 
asked to do throughout the quest.

2) Task:  This page gives a brief overview of the primary task(s) students will be asked to accomplish 
throughout the WebQuest.

3) Process and Guidelines:  This page provides detailed guidelines to help students determine what 
steps they need to take in order to complete their WebQuests.

4) Standards:  This page lists out the state of Michigan benchmarks/content standards addressed in 
your WebQuest.

5) Resources:  This page provides links to online resources students can use to complete your 
WebQuest.  Suggestions for other "offline" resources can also be included.

6) Evaluation:  This page clearly indicates how students will be evaluated in your WebQuest.  This 
may include evaluation of their participation and/or the evaluation of any artifacts they create as a 
result of your WebQuest.

7) Role(s):  This page (or pages) provides a detailed description of what each person is supposed to 
do in your WebQuest.  

8) Conclusion:  This page provides students with a concluding statement thanking them for their 
hardwork and reminding them briefly about what they were supposed to accomplish in your 
WebQuest.
