Here are the steps you should take to create your WebQuest.
1) Decide what benchmark/content standard you want to address in your
WebQuest. You might find
that there is more than one benchmark that can be addressed in your project.
Identify the
benchmarks/content standards in the "standards" page of your WebQuest.
2) Write an introduction for your WebQuest. To do this you will need to think
about what kind of
scenario you can create for students that will give them an authentic
opportunity to learn about the
benchmark/content standard you have identified.
3) Write a task page that briefly explains what students are being asked to do
in your WebQuest.
4) Write a detailed process and guidelines page that provides clear direction
for students on what
they need to accomplish.
5) Find an adequate list of resources that students can use to complete your
WebQuest. Make sure
to review each website carefully before including it on your resources page.
6) Write a detailed evaluation page so students know the criteria that will be
used to assess them.
7) Identify the specific roles students will need to take in the WebQuest.
Assume students will be
working in small groups to complete your WebQuest. Therefore, you want to
make sure that each
role requires about the same amount of work so that each student contributes
equally.
8) Write a brief concluding statement for your conclusion page.
9) Format your WebQuest to give it a customized look that is appropriate for
the topic and grade
level of your WebQuest.
