Nightly homework should consist of the following: Please read! Please
have
your child read to you also. Make sure they are pointing to each word as
it
is
read (one to one correspondence). You may read to your child and ask
comprehension questions. Some examples are:
1. Who are the characters in the story? Who is the main character?
2. What happened in the beginning of the story? The middle? The
end?
3. Have you made any text to text connections? Text to self?
4. Where does the story take place?(setting)
Math homework comes home a few nights per week, depending on the
lesson. It will be review from the day's lesson. Math homework is due
the following day. The weekly homework packet comes home
approximately every Friday. The homework packet is due the
following Friday. Please send in the entire packet for grading
