Dear Parents,

The fifth graders are beginning the 2nd quarter of their school year.  That is unbelievable!  They have grown and changed into true upper grade students.  Be proud!  Today they should have report cards with them when they come home.  Please sign the bottom and send it back to school tomorrow.  Also, inside the envelope you will find a slip through which you can indicate your preferred time slot for a parent-teacher conference.  We really need this back tomorrow because we meet as a faculty to schedule these conferences.  In doing so, children of one family have their conferences scheduled in the same time slots.  Thank you in advance for making that happen. 

 

Next week Wednesday is our Veterans' Day celebration.  The kids have been working hard to prepare songs and speaking parts for you enjoyment.  They should all wear patriotic colors that evening.  We also would like that evening to be a time to collect items for our "Any Soldier" boxes.  Recommended items are chapstick, sunscreen, gum, magazines, books, etc.  Our class has collected about $60 for our Friday missions so far.  This money will be used to buy Bibles and to pay for the postage to mail these packages.  They have done well!
