About The Teacher

Mrs. Marti
I graduated from Martin Luther College in 1981 and received a call to a
small school named Holy Trinity Lutheran School in Kent, Washington. The
school was located in a southern suburb of Seattle. I taught grades K-4 (in
various combinations), coached soccer, played organ for the church plus
other duties. While I taught in Kent, I continued to go to school during
the summer and in the evenings to fulfill the state requirements for a 5th
year.
I earned my master's degree in elementary education from Pacific Lutheran
University, Tacoma Washington, in 1988.
In 1989, I moved back to MN with my husband and daughter. I did part-time
work subbing and training adults in the Anoka-Hennepin school district.
In 1998, I started teaching at Bloomington Lutheran School. I'm starting my
9th year at BLS. Bloomington Lutheran is a wonderful school with positive
staff and supportive parents. The students are cool, too! I feel very
blessed to have the priviledge of teaching your child at this school.
