NEW TODAY:
- On Thursday afternoon all Paras will be here and available to do copying, laminating, etc.  If you need help with anything, please e-mail Jiana Thielke with your requests.  Don Schill  
- Please excuse the following students at 10:30 this morning as they will be participating in the Veteran's program:  Michael Radig, Cody Rittenhouse, Zack Rittenhouse, Paul Meindl
- There will be a Veteran's Program Wednesday morning at 11:00, in the gym for grades 4
- 8, and any other grade level that would like to attend.  The program will last approximately 30 minutes.
- Win a “Movie and a Dinner” in the Horace Mann Insurance/Kevin Van Dyke drawing.  The Draw box and Enter Cards are in the faculty lounge.  The deadline is 12-1-2009 and one entry per person.  All school employees are eligible.

-LABELS CHALLENGE
Thank you to all who brought in all the labels for the labels challenge.
The top 3 classes are:
1st place and winner of a pizza party - Mrs. Ohm's 2nd grade class with 1469
2nd place Mrs. Bommersbach's 2nd graders with 1322
3rd place Mrs. Werner's 2 grade with 932
2nd grade sweep!!!! Great job to all.  
A special thank you to Sharon Strege for all her work on cutting and counting!

- K-6 teachers,
Please keep your skating forms and $$$ until after conferences.   You might catch a few more during that time.  If you have all turned in or think that you're done trying:), feel free to place them in Brad's mailbox or my mailbox.  We truly appreciate all that you do with our skating unit.   Thanks,  Missy

- The Breckenridge Community Center is seeking instructors for Chess Club, Art Adventures and other after school activities.  Please call the center if you have a skill to share and are available one or more days per week from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m.  Volunteer leaders are especially needed, but some stipend or paid staff positions may also be available.  Call 643-1282 for information or an application form, or stop by the center.

- Appletree Dental will be returning with a Dentist to do the follow-up work on Nov 11th and perhaps the morning of the 12th.  Can room 246 be reserved for the 11th, I'll let you know very soon about the 12th.  Thank you so much for the help with this project.

- Second quarter activity bus would run with ten prepaid riders.  Please pay $45 to the district office by the first day of the new quarter (November 10) if you want the bus to run.  The bus runs Monday through Thursday.

- The box for Jubilee slips is in the office again!  Drop your receipts here!!

- Breckenridge Education Foundation Grant Applications are available in the Elem/Middle School office, if anyone is interested in applying for one.

-  After School Fun and Games
The Breckenridge Family Community Center is open 3:30 to 5:30 Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for youth in Grades 6 - 8.  Free pool, foosball, cards and board games.  Bring spending money for snacks, juice, pop and candy.  The center is also available for rent for birthday parties and family celebrations.

- If you take any pictures in your classroom throughout the school year, and they are “yearbook” worthy, please give them to Maxine Fronning.

Homework Help will be Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Middle School Media Center this year. Students must check in by 3:30 and must bring everything they need in order to complete their homework. The computer lab will be available for use every Tuesday and Thursday during Homework Help.
