FUNDING GUIDELINES

BOMBER BOOSTER MISSION STATEMENT

The Cannon Falls Booster Club exists to support and encourage all phases of the Cannon Falls Athletic programs through recognition of the student athlete and promotion of community involvement.

GUIDELINES FOR FUNDING REQUESTS

The following factors will help in determining the approval of the request:

1. The money must be used for an athletic activity, such as equipment or materials.

2. Who will benefit from the equipment or materials?

3. Will the requested item(s) be used again the following season or used in another

sport.

4. The request must be submitted one month prior to your season starting.

Booster funding is not intended to replace usual and customary costs that the school district has budgeted to pay for.

There is no dollar restrictions as to the amount of a request. For funding requests over $250.00, the requestor should try to attend the next Booster meeting.

WHO MAY REQUEST FUNDS?

Typically, it is Head Coaches and the Activities Director who submitted requests.

Also, the request needs to be submitted 2 weeks prior to the next meeting to the

Activities Director.

APPROVAL PROCEDURES

1. Individuals requesting funds complete the attached one-page funding request form and submits the request form to the Activities Director, who in turn will forward it to the Superintendent for his review.

2. The Activities Director and Superintendent reviews each request to ensure compatibility with the overall school district policies and needs. The requests not funded by the school district are then brought in front of the Board at the monthly meeting by the Activities Director and/or Head Coach.

3. Each request is then discussed and approved or denied by the Board Members. The Activities Director/Booster Club Secretary will then share with the person making the request the outcome. The Activities Director will give a bill to Josh Davisson, District Office Accounts Payable Manager, who will then bill the Booster Club Treasurer. Any items that to be inventory must be given to Linda Smith or Cindy DeRosier as soon as possible.
