Each year the foundation hopes to invest more dollars into education. Our commitment will stay the same for the future: <STRONG>to continue to raise and provide funds for education</STRONG>. Silent Auction - The Silent Auction for 2008 will be held on April 19 at Mill Street Tavern. The event raised approximately $15,000 in 2007 for the Cannon Falls Education Foundation. Thanks to all who participated and please continue to frequent this event.</FONT></P> <P><FONT size=3>2. White Rock Bank Charity Golf Tournament - This tournament will be on July 14 at Cannon Golf Club.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The event raised over $12,000 in 2007 for the CFEF.</FONT></P> <P><FONT size=3>3. Skip for School 2008 - This is a jump rope event for students in grades 2-5. In 2008, the participants raised over $4,000. Way to go kids!</FONT></P> <P><FONT size=3>4. TV Raffle - The Plasma TV was won by Mary Marklevits, a physical education teacher at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Cannon</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Falls</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>. Thanks to all who purchased tickets. $1,600 was raised for the foundation! </FONT></P> <P><FONT size=3>5. Evening at the Winery (First Farmers and Merchants) – This fun evening was a great time to display some of the projects funded by CFEF.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The event was held on January 26 at the Cannon River Winery.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The event raised over $1,600 for the CFEF.</FONT></P> <P><FONT size=3>6. Private Gifts - Private gifts of any amount are appreciated. The foundation is a 501c3 tax-exempt organization, so your gift is tax deductible.
