Students will play Scrabble once a week depending on completion of
assignments throughout the week. Students will mix with kids from the other
fifth grade classrooms to work on their word building, math, and cooperation
skills. Points for each game accumulate throughout the school year.
Letters in the spring will be sent to over 200 businesses around the United
States asking for donations that 5th grade students could buy using their
points as money. The auction is usually scheduled for the end of May.
