Dear Parent and Student:
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with information regarding
Cannon Falls High School and Middle School for the 2009-2010 school year. If
your student will not be attending the Cannon Falls Schools for the upcoming
school year, please call the office as soon as possible at 507.263.6800
(extension 1420).
Fall Sports Meeting – All students in grades 7-12 who are interested in
joining cross country, football, girls tennis and volleyball should plan on
attending the Fall Sports Meeting on Monday, August 10th at 6:30 p.m. in the
high school gym. If you are going into 7th or 10th grade chances are you
will need an updated physical before you can participate in any sport.
Physical forms are available in the office. Any questions please call Robin
Nelson at 263.6800 ext. 1430.
Open House – An open house for all students in grades 6-12 will be Wednesday,
September 2 from 4:00-6:00. Students may pick up their schedules, find their
lockers, pay lunch money and meet with staff. 6th & 7th grade students and
parents are asked to meet in the high school gymnasium at 6:00 p.m. for an
orientation meeting.
School Day – The school year will open on Tuesday, September 8th, 2009. The
school day begins at 8:05 a.m. and ends at 2:55 p.m.
School Pictures – All students in grades 6-12 will be photographed on Monday,
September 28th. Seniors are photographed individually for I.D. purposes
only. Seniors will also have their yearbook class picture taken that morning.
Website – Parents are encouraged to access information pertaining to school
on the website at www.cannonfallschools.com. Also, many of our athletic
schedules or activities will be available online at www.hvlconference.org.
If you have questions or concerns regarding your student the following people
or office may serve as resources to you. Please note that the MS/HS and
Guidance offices will be closed the month of July.
