Welcome to Technology Six
Your student started a quarter-long Technology class today! The focus is on learning keyboarding skills; other topics will include an introduction to Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher. We will also have each student sign up for an Email account which will be used through out the quarter for assignments and typing practice. This will also be used for some online learning using Moodle.
You can help your student by using the resources listed on the Technology webpage to help your student increase their proficiency and keyboarding speed. These resources are online and free. If you do not have the internet at home, the public library is available during their normal business hours. Students are also welcome to come to the High School IMC from 3-3:30 Monday-Thursdays. We have a link on the school web page under “Technology” that will keep you informed.
Your student’s goal is to learn and improve Technology skills so they are better prepared to complete Graduation Standards in Technology.
Please feel free to email us if you have questions or concerns.
