This Day in History:   1620 - The Mayflower Compact was signed by Pilgrims 
aboard the Mayflower. It would provide the basis for all governments of the 
American colonies.


MENU: Spaghetti w/Meat Sauce or Turkey Sandwich, Cole Slaw or Lettuce, Garlic 
Bread, Yogurt and Milk. 

EVERYONE:  Remember to bring items in for our troops this week.  The staff 
sergeant of the troops receiving the care packages is a graduate of Cannon 
Falls so lets show him and his troops our support. We are issuing a 
challenge, Mrs. Mercer's 1st hour is already on their second box so come on 
everyone, bring stuff into your first hour and give them a run for their 
money!  You have the rest of the week to do this.

ALL WRESTLERS AND CHEERLEADERS:  Thursday night from 9:00-11:30 Dudley's is 
holding a pizza/Wii party in the commons area here at school.  NO COST!  Come 
enjoy some time together and kick off the wrestling season.  Also, all 
varsity letter winners from last year meet out from Friday morning for your 
car pool to have your poster picture taken.

VETERANS DAY ASSEMBLY:  Students will be seated by grade level with the 6th 
grade starting from right to left facing the stage.  All 10th graders will be 
seated in the balcony.  All students report to 3rd hour and we will dismiss 
you.  Band members are dismissed at 9:45 to prepare.

EVERYONE: Congratulations to the debate team on another successful tournament 
last night.  In the varsity division, Tommy Monson and Marek Haggerty won 2 
of their rounds and lost only one.  In the novice division, both Cannon teams 
did well.  Madison Langdon and Lindsay LaMoore won two of their rounds and 
lost only one, as did Megan Bauer and Kailee Stiles.  Megan and Kailee took 
second in their division.

FOOTBALL BANQUET:  Today is the absolute last day to sign up and pay 
Stephanie!

OVERDUE BOOKS:   There are tons out so please look under your beds and clean 
out your lockers and get them turned in now!

6TH GRADERS: Any 6th grader who would like to find out more about youth 
wrestling is invited to attend a free Youth Wrestling Camp hosted by the Mat 
Rats.  This is a great opportunity to find out whether you would like to join 
Mat Rats or not.  Forms are available in the HS office.

ALL STUDENTS:  The wonderful letters you wrote to children in Iraq and 
Afghanistan when Gunnar visited have made there way into a book!  Quotes and 
drawing from the letters are now part of a small book titled, “Dear Friend, 
Letters of Peace and Friendship”.  The book is on display in the school 
offices as well as at Stephanie’s window in the HS.  They are for sale and 
cost $15.00 each.  We don’t have the books available to give you right now, 
but you can order one in the offices, or from Mrs. Klapperich.  All orders 
and payment need to be in by December 11 so that books will arrive before 
Christmas.  Be sure to check it out!  The book is fantastic!!!

VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS:  Don't forget to pay Stephanie Fox $6.50 by the end of 
the day on Thursday if you plan to attend the Bomber Volleyball banquet on 
Thursday, November 19th!

SKI CLUB FORMS:  Are here! Stop in the office to pick up a registration 
packet.
