| Wow! This year has gone by so fast! They are now almost first graders! I
have enjoyed this year so much. They are a great group of children. Thanks
for all your help and support. Their success depends on teamwork! You have
made that difference for them!
Please make sure and take the time to work with your child over the summer to
review math and reading skills. Try to find time weekly to sit with your child
and read books saved from kindergarten, have them retell stories orally to
you, write in a journal and most of all have fun with it.
It is important to re-visit math skills as well. Please make sure and review
sorting, patterning, counting by 1's, 5's, and 10's. Practice counting to 100!
You can even start working on simple addition and subtraction memorization if
your child is interested!
Again, most of all, have fun with it!
