Classroom Update
It was a fun and exciting day in third grade. (Pretty quiet without a
teacher’s voice) Today we had a great time at our Fall Festival. On
Wednesday we completed our fitness testing for the fall. Thank you for the
donations to our party/activity fund. If you still wish to contribute for our
next events it is not too late. Have a great weekend!
Communications
In communications we reviewed the skill from our first unit and took
our first unit test. Next week we will have spelling and a reading log.
Starting Monday some students may be going to Mrs. Fritz or Mr. Nickel for
our literature block. Students will be working in their literature groups
Monday – Thursday for approximately 45 minutes. Don’t forget to turn in the
October reading calendar for Pages for Pizza. I have included a new reading
calendar for the month of November.
Math
Linear measurement is our focus in Unit three. We reviewed using a ruler to
measure with inches and centimeters. Many students are well on their way
mastering their basic addition facts for this trimester. Don’t forget to
practice the subtraction facts too.
