Happy Friday!
The letters to the Troops are coming in and look great! Most kids finished up today in class. We also had time to work more on the Mesopotamia postcard. Please check with your child if they finished the postcard, it is due on Monday. I'm sorry about having another assignment due on Monday, but we've got to keep plugging along! The directions for the postcard are on the Homework page. Remind your kids t make their picture big, bold, bright and beautiful - and no white spaces! Shade in the background with a bright color. :) They also need to have five facts from the Social Studies book. See the homework page for the specific directions.
Next week there is MAP testing for reading on Tuesday and Wednesday. They will test during Lang. Arts time. Everyone should have a book to read when they are done testing.

Hey Everyone!
It's been a great week so far. We're all adjusting to the fact that we don't have computers anymore and now the kids have to be with us for 100 minutes! It's been a bit crazy, but I think we have it under control now. :) :) The kids are working on a couple of things right now. We wrote letters to the Troops in the Middle East yesterday, many kids did not finish, but were told to finish by Friday. We also started a Mesopotamia postcard today; we will work on both assignments in class tomorrow.
I've just now finished grading the quiz from Crash. I will get those grades on the computer asap. I started correcting the little books and will do my best to finish this weekend.
There is a quiz on Mesopotamia tomorrow. Amy will put the review on the newsletter which will go out today.
