About The Teacher
I have been teaching 5th and 6th grade for 23 years! I love teaching middle school students. I first taught 5th and 6th grade in the Apple Valley/Rosemount District for nine years. After moving north to Chisago City, I got a job in the Centennial School District teaching 6th grade. This is my 14th year (WOW!) in the district. When I'm not teaching I enjoy all types of sports, water skiing, camping, fishing, swimming, running, and just being outside having fun with my family.

Mission
This year Mrs. Aus and I will be team teaching Language Arts and Social Studies. We will integrate most of the writing, non-fiction as well as some fiction reading with Social Studies. The Language Arts curriculum focuses on the elements of fiction, non-fiction reading skills, writing using the six traits of writing, and oral communication. We plan on doing a lot of fun activities while learning. It's going to be a great year!
