How can I help my child with homework?

1st On each textbook page are examples with steps on how to solve
the same
type of problems your child will be given. We do the examples
and the
guided practice in class together. The first independent practice
questions
are similar.

How can I access more help online?

Each lesson has an internect connection displayed at the top of
the homework
page. Thus, it gives the Homework Help Hotline Online site,
go.hrw.com, and
it gives the keyword to search for help on that specific lesson.

We have permission to use the same user name and password this
year to
access the Holt Middle School Mathematics Course 1 textbook
online.
http://go.hrw.com
 User name: jehlen2 Password: p8e7
Begin by going to http://go.hrw.com and click on the online
textbook link.
Then enter the user name and password. Follow the directions for
the Holt
Online Learning packet; if you don't have one, have your child
request
another from me. If your child leaves his/her book in school,
you will now
have access to the textbook online.

Advanced Course: McDougall Littell Middle School Math Course 2
may be
located on www.classzone.com; select 1)MATH, 2)state MINNESOTA, 3)
GO,
McDougal Littell Middle School Course 2. You will be able to do
tutorials
on our lessons versus assignments on this site; a CD is needed
for
assignments from McDougal Littell and may be checked out for the
year.
However, after Ch.4 we will be using a packet with each chapter
so the
worksheets in the packet will not be on the CD but the tutorials
online will
continue to match our lessons.

Is extra help available before or after school?

Yes. Whenever your child finds the need for extra assistance, I
am usually
available before or after school by appointment.
