We have spent the bulk of this week taking care of nuts and bolts. We
completed our PIG EARS web for Mesopotamia. This web will be completed for
each civilization we study throughout the year. It reminds us to look at the
Political, Intellectual, Geographic, Economic, Artistic, and Religious
contributions of each civilization as well as "So What?" - or why does this
matter to me today? We have had some wonderful conversations. We also
completed the Mesopotamia section of the Civilization Comparison Chart. This
ultimately will be a "look at a glance" at all the civs we study.
Coming up next will be the Maya of Mexico. Considering that this is a
civilization that seemingly mysteriously disappeared, it fits in well with
the Mystery unit that will be ongoing throughout the team.
