About The Teacher
Welcome year 23!!! Those years have truly flown by! I have enjoyed teaching students of all ages and abilities in the Centennial school district nearly all of them. I have taught 3rd grade, 6th grade, special education in the areas of Learning Disablities and Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities, and have served as building Technology Coordinator for one of our elementary schools. I love teaching 6th graders and look forward to every school year.

Mission
6th grade Social Studies takes a look at sevearal ancient civilizations, their cultures and contributions to our current society. Topics may include: Stone Age, Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, Maya, India, and China. Objectives and Outcomes include: 1. Explore Social Studies topics in a variety of ways 2. Work cooperatively with classmates to develop understanding 3. Connect concepts to current day/events and daily life 4. Learn and use correct terminology 5. Succussfully complete all assigned activities 6. Engage in creative activities to enhance understanding of ancient civilizations 7. Review material on a regular basis to enhance retention 8. Use technlogy as a tool to foster further understanding
