June 1:  Kickball Tournament

June 2:  Presentations

June 3:  Presentations/Finish Roots

June 4:  Finish Roots - Possible Final Test

 


Summer READING:

Research has shown the importance of summer reading for school aged children.  Students who read 4-5 books during the summer months do much better when they return to school than students who do not read.  Research further shows that students who do not read demonstrate a significant achievement loss over the summer.  To assist you in finding great books for your students, you can access the Super Summer Reading Lists at www.isd12.org/cms/media/index.html.  The lists are organized by grade and genre.  Please note that the Student Recommended list is not organized by grade level and that not all books on this list are appropriate for all ages and maturity levels.  For more reading suggestions and tips to keep your children reading, visit www.centennialmediacenter.wikispaces.com.  You can access our summer reading lists and find reading tips, contests, and book suggestions in one easy location.  Coming soon to the CMS Media Center wiki will be Internet safety tips and additional reading resources.
