LIMERICKS by Grade 6 students

There once was a man named Pete
Who could not stay on his feet
he fell on his head 
and wished he were dead
That clumsy old man named Pete (Stephen)

There once was a dog that swallowed some cod
but it turned out to be a fraud
he went to the vet
and thought he was set
until that vet said...lets open that stomach for cod (Bryce)


Lilly hates strawberry pie
so much it makes Sam want to cry
he cried so bad 
and went to his dad
But all his dad did was give a big sigh (Savannah)

There once was a man from Chile
Who dreamed he was eating Billy
he awoke and sat up
to know he's a nut
when he realized his dream was silly (Chantal)

There once was a kid named Fred
who could never stay in bed
his mother told him
never get out
or she would bring in mean Jed. (Alex)

There once was a boy who loved pie
who had a huge, fat, hairy thigh
no matter how much he ate
he could not debate
the boy with the fat thigh who loved pie (Tyler)

I'd rather have fingers than toes
I'd rather have ears than a nose
and so for my hair
I'm glad its still there
I'll be awfully sad when it goes (Sissy)
