Counseling

Counseling at the Visitation Lower and Middle Schools is a combination of preventive social and emotional skills teaching and responsive services and support.  I see students individually and in small groups and will be teaching lessons in many classrooms this year.
 
As the School Counselor, it is my goal to: 
  • Help maintain a safe school environment where children can learn.
  • Promote positive attitudes among students toward self, family, peers and community.
  • Assist students in learning how school performance relates to future opportunities.
  • Support students by teaching skills for achieving success.
  • Counsel students individually and in small groups.
  • Coordinate referrals to outside agencies.
  • Work with parents, teachers and administrators to meet the needs of all of our students, not just for school, but for life.
