8th Grade Art (First Semester/ Monday-Friday)
This class will review the terms and skills learned in seventh grade.
Students will begin art class with a review of elements and principles of
art. Students will finish both their Academic standards.
7th Grade Art (Second Semester/ Monday-Friday)
This class is the beginning of the junior high sequence. Students will learn
about the Elements and Principles of design in a more formal style than
elementary classes. Students will work on a perspective unit.
9th grade - Watercolor painting
10th grade - Drawing Unit
11th grade - Carving / Woodburning
12th grade - Animal in detail
This class is designed to expose students to a variety of art materials
and techniques as well as the elements and principles of design. Students
will have 1 academic standard to complete.
Elementary Art, students in grades 4-6 will have art the first semester and
grades 1,2 and 3 the second semester. Students will also be completing
Academic Standards in grades 3 and 5.
Please ask your child what he/she is working on in they particular
class.
All assignments involve a special skill or task as well as use the
elements and principles of art in their designs.
