You will be working in a four person cooperative group. For part of the time you will be exploring differing opinions on the current status of our Bill of Rights. Working with one other “opinion partner” in your group, you will be asigned either the “Civic Defender”(pro-restrictions) or the “Civil Libertarian” (con-restrictions) viewpoint to study and defend. When your cooperative group reassembles, you will be responsible to present arguments for your point of view. Your final goal as a group is to create a graphic organizer of the differing opinions and supporting facts. You will then be able to take a print out of this list to have on hand as you write your opinion letter to the StarTribune. Step One: Your first step will be to reread the Bill of Rights.
