Pam holds a Masters in Fine Arts Degree in Theatre and K-12 teaching
licenses in Theatre Arts/Dance and Reading. She spent four years as Drama
Specialist at Linwood A+ Elementary and two years teaching drama and reading
at Washington Technology Magnet. She is thrilled to join the staff at Open
School where she student taught with Theatre Director Bridget Martin in the
fall of 2001. Encouraging young people to think, problem solve, use their
imagination, and see the world through many viewpoints is at the heart of her
teaching.
Before becoming a teacher in the St. Paul Public Schools, Pam taught
drama classes and directed plays for a variety of theatres and community
organizations in Minnesota, Illinois and Missouri. She also acted in many
plays. Some of her favorite roles include Miss Hannigan in ANNIE, Nellie
Forbush in SOUTH PACIFIC, and Miss Adelaide in GUYS AND DOLLS. Her favorite
pastimes include traveling, singing, going to plays, and spending time with
her family, especially her granddaughters!
