3rd Grade Math Power Standards
o	I can tell time to the minute and know the relationships    
among units of time.
o	I can determine elapsed time.
o	I can make change up to $1.00.
o	I can read a thermometer to the nearest degree.
o	I can use place value to read, write, order and compare 
numbers to 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 and 100,000.
o	I can round numbers to estimate sum and differences to the 
nearest 10, 100, 1,000 and 10,000.
o	I can identify parallel lines and perpendicular lines to 
describe polygons.
o	I can identify 3D shapes, faces and vertices.
o	I can find the perimeter of a polygon and measured distances 
around objects.
o	I can collect, display and interpret data using graphs, 
tables and line plots.
o	I can read, write, order and compare fractions with a like 
denominator.
o	I can add and subtract multi-digit numbers.
o	I know multiplication facts (0-12).
o	I can solve word problems using addition, subtraction, 
multiplication and division.
o	I can show that I understand basic multiplication facts 
through various methods and models (repeated addition, equal sized 
grouping, arrays, area models, skip counting and equal jumps on a 
number line).
o	I can show that I understand division facts through various 
methods and models (equal sharing, forming equal groups and repeated 
subtraction).
o	I can measure to the nearest 1, ½, ¼, unit.
o	I can use strategies that involve the commutative, 
associative and distributive properties.
o	I can use single operation input- output rules to represent 
patterns and relationships.
