Meet the Staff:

Andrea Waller - I graduated from Minnesota State University in Mankato with a BS in Family Consumer Science. My emphasis was in Family Life and Child Development. I moved to Woodbury in June 2007 and I recently got married. I love spoiling my nieces and nephews and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy reading, playing basketball, and shopping! I am so happy to be a part of the Saint Ambrose ECEC and look forward to having lots of fun with the children.

Brenda Young - I live in Woodbury with my sister and her son. I  have worked with children for over 20 years and have been working at St. Ambrose since September 2000, with various ages. Before working at St. Ambrose I  ran my own home daycare center in Lincoln, Nebraska for 5 years. I enjoy spending time with my grandkids every chance I get!

Marilyn Baesler - I have been at St. Ambrose since October 2000. I previously worked at St. Mary's preschool center in White Bear Lake. I have taken Early Childhood classes for further credit at Metropolitan University in St. Paul. My hobbies include walking, biking, skiing, golfing, and reading.

Bethany Duffey - I have three older sisters and I am the youngest of four! I am a junior at Woodbury High School. I play softball and bowling in my spare time. I also hang out with friends and watch movies. I love hot weather and Arizona! I hope to attend college at Arizona State University. I love to babysit and play with kids!

Four-Year Old Preschool (The “Stars”) Daily Schedule:

• Children who need to eat breakfast at school may bring in cereal, etc. and eat it in the designated classroom between the hours of 6:30 and 7:45. A.M.). Any leftover breakfast food will be thrown away. Milk, bowls, spoons, etc. will be provided by the center.

6:30-7:30 A.M. = Arrivals/greetings, breakfast, play time, coloring, in Star Room

7:30-8:15 A.M. = Classroom activities, stories, play time, clean-up

8:30-9:00 A.M. = Large group activities (calendar, weather, Bible Story, ect.), bathroom break time, hand washing

9:00-9:20 A.M. = Outside time or Large Muscle Room Activities

9:20-9:45 A.M. = Hand washing, Snack time

9:45-10:00 A.M. = Clean-up, Bathroom break, handwashing

10:00-11:00 P.M. = Small group activities, art time, theme project

11:00-11:30 AM = Outside activities

11:30-12:30 P.M. = Bathroom break, hand washing, lunch prep, lunch time

12:30-2:30 P.M. = Naptime (for napping children), rest time for non-nappers

1:30-2:30 P.M. = Table activities for non-nappers and early risers

2:45-3:00 P.M. = Wake-up, clean-up, bathroom breaks, hand washing

3:00-3:30 P.M. = Large Group Teacher Directed Activites (stories, theme related activities)

3:30-3:50 P.M. = Snack time, books, puzzles, etc.

3:50-4:15 PM   = Bathroom break, hand washing, free choice time in classroom, music

4:15-5:00 PM = Outside time (weather permitting)

5:00-5:20 PM = Large Muscle Room time

5:20-6:00 PM = Large Muscle room, stories, departures (Cubs, Stars, Dolphins-blend)
