Meet the Staff:

Cindy Pelton - I have worked at St. Ambrose since June 2004. Before working at St. Ambrose I worked at Montessori Day for 15 years. I am the mother of 3 children - ages 28, 25, and 20. I spend a lot of my time sending "care" packages to all three. I am married to a Social Worker and a member of the National Guard. In my spare time I like to read, hike, garden and do various needle work projects. I also enjoy spending time with my granddaughter.

Lindsay Johnson - I have been at St. Ambrose since March 2005. I graduated from Winona State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I  grew up in Cottage Grove and currently live in Apple Valley. I  have an older and a younger sister. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my one year old nephew!

Maryann Nelson - I started working at St. Ambrose in July 2003 and have been in Early Childhood field since 1986. I previously worked at a Montessori School before starting at St. Ambrose. I have been married for 29 years and have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. I  live in Cottage Grove and enjoy working in my flower gardens - specializing in lilies. My goal is to be in the South Washington County Garden Tour someday! I  also enjoy collecting agates and fossils. If you want to hear a cute pet story just ask me about my ferrets. I enjoy all the wonderful children and staff at St. Ambrose!

Anthony Elbert - I live with my parents, Tom and Carla. I have one sister named Nicole. I also have two dogs named Nacho and Carver. My hobbies include anything that has to do with sports! I am very athletic and I love to be challenged in any sport you can name! I do play one sport - BASEBALL! I also enjoy watching scarry movies. I am 16 years old and a junior at Woodbury High School.

Five-Year Old Preschool (The “Dolphins”) Daily Schedule:

• Children who need to eat breakfast at school may bring in cereal, etc. and eat it in the designated classroom (between the hours of 6:30 and 7:45. A.M.). Any leftover breakfast food will be thrown away. Milk, bowls, spoons, etc. will be provided by the center.

6:30-7:30 A.M. = Breakfast, Arrivals/greetings, play time, coloring, in Star Room

7:30-8:30 A.M. = Art Activities and free exploration

8:30-8:50 A.M. = Large Muscle Room activites/Outside

9:00-9:20 A.M. = Music & Movement Activities

9:20-9:30 AM = Clean up, handwashing, bathroom break

9:30-9:50 AM  = Snack

9:50-10:15 AM = Large Group Time: Calendar, Bible Story, Theme & Letter of the Week

10:15-11:00 AM = Station Activities

11:00-11:30 AM = Outside Time (weather permitting), or classroom activities

11:30-12:30 AM = Bathroom breaks, hand washing, lunch time and clean-up

12:30-1:30 P.M. = Quiet rest time (for non-nappers), one-on-one play

12:30-2:30 PM = Nap time for nappers

1:30-2:50 P.M. = Bathroom break, hand washing, Table Activities, Theme and Letter activities

2:50-3:20 P.M. = Large Muscle Room Time

3:20-3:40 P.M. = Hand washing and snack

3:40-4:00 P.M. = Show and Share time

4:00-5:20 P.M. = Outside time (weather permitting), or free exploration, books, music, departures, etc.

5:20-6:00 P.M. = Bathroom breaks, hand washing, Large Muscle room, free choice, departures
