Eighth Grade:
The eighth graders will complete Unit 13 the first week of January. Students should expect a test during the second week of January.
Students have been busy writing several pieces: myth and business letter. The myth was a co-assignment with Literature. The business letter is in process currently. Students are writing a job application letter.
What job?- They are seeking a position in the freshman class of 2010.
These are fictional letters where students outline their strengths.
Seventh Grade:
Seventh graders are studying the types of nouns: plural, possessives, collective, and appositives. They have begun DOL(daily oral language) exercises. This activity involves one worksheet of 8 sentences and a quiz (3 sentences). Students should expect to receive one each week.
Research writing begins after Christmas break. Students will be researching a country selected in geography class. All students should have a set of 3 x 5 notecards. If purchasing, please purchase white, lined cards.
