<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre">	</span>Welcome to the 2009-10 school year.  Classes are well under way and the Jr. High is already </div>
<div>learning the techniques of graphite drawing.  The eighth grade students have started their first </div>
<div>illustration.  The subject matter is a chipmunk or squirrel.  Both of these subjects have different </div>
<div>backgrounds that challenge each student to perform to the best of their  ability. There will be three </div>
<div>drawing completed in this unit.  The seventh grade students have taken on a complete different </div>
<div>format to complete a drawing.  Each student creates a grid on the subject that they are drawing and </div>
<div>also produces a grid on the drawing paper. These grids are identical. By producing a grid to draw </div>
<div>by, the information in an illustration is broken down into simplified areas making understanding </div>
<div>what we are drawing easier.</div>

<div>Art Club will be starting the week of Sept. 21st.  It is open to any Jr. High student. </div>
