**I am signing up students for some math and reading study times in August. My plan is for small groups to spend an hour for math and/or an hour for reading to get ready for 5th grade.
I usually do this 3 days a week for 3 or 4 weeks in August. In math, we actually look through the first few units of the math book. For reading, we usually do some reading together and encourage each other to finish some books before school starts.

*Thinking ahead to summer, I encourage the library reading program. I also send a bag of books home for summer reading. The books are returned to me in the fall.
Since the kids know how to blog, the kids and I will come up with a plan to blog with me during the summer about books they are reading.
