I began my career at St. Wenceslaus School in 1972. Most of those years I have
spent teaching third grade. Because of the challenges and the freedom to be
creative, I have enjoyed my job. Every year has been different and so the
teaching profession has allowed me to grow personally and continue to improve
my teaching skills.
Here at St. Wenceslaus School we spend time daily talking about God and how
important our faith is in our lives. My personal goal is to educate Christian
leaders in our community and the broader world community. I hope all of you
as parents know that I love what I do, and that the St. Wenceslaus School
community has a special place in my heart.
My husband and I have raised two adopted daughters. They both graduated from
St. Wenceslaus School and have graduated from college. Gretchen graduated
from Winona State with a degree in psychology and then went to the University
of Mankato to get her masters in rehab counseling. She now works for the
state out of the Burnsville office. Last November Gretchen got married and now
Garrett and Gretchen live in the New Prague community. We have a great
son-in-law. Danielle graduated from the University of Southern California
with a degree in business (marketing) with a minor in German. She spent a
semester in Berlin and a semester in Australia. She now works at USC in Los
Angeles as a program specialist.
1. To become strong Christian leaders and responsible citizens of Earth.
2. To grow in their faith and share that faith by word and example.
