This is the second message today. Sorry I didn't get it all on one. I will be sending a script home with some of the students today. All of kindergarten will be doing a Nativity play. Some of the parts are speaking parts and some are not. Only the speaking parts will get scripts but all students will have a part in the play. We have this play tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 23 in the afternoon. We will let you know what time at a later date. We haven't decided if it would be 1:00 or 1:30. So keep this date open. Thanks!

On Wednesday, Nov. 25, the kindergartners and preschool students will be having a little Thanksgiving celebration from 9:30 - 10:30 in the morning. If you have had volunteer training and would like to help out with this celebration please email me. Remember to send in those paper towel tubes by that same day. Thanks!

Book orders will be coming home today. If you would like to place an order, please have those back to school on Wednesday, November 25. If any of the books will be Christmas gifts please let me know so that I can contact you to pick the books up after they arrive. Thanks!

This year for cultural diversity, we will be learning about Native Americans. Every grade chooses a different tribe. We originally chose the Algonquin Tribe but couldn't find enough resources. So kindergarten has changed to the Ojibwe Tribe. We will be making a craft with paper towel tubes for one of our projects. Please send in a paper towel tube or more if you have them by Monday, November 23. Thanks!

I will be sending home a book log today with 1 or 2 books in a bag. On the form is a spot for your child's name, date, book title, three areas where the parents can initial, and an area for comments. When reading the books, only write the title once after reading several times. Initial the boxes if you read to your child, if you read with your child or if the child read independently. All or only one might be initialed depending on what is done with the book. Also fill out the comments as to whether you thought the book was too difficult or to easy for your child.
