6th Grade Literature

November 25 - no homework other than to read for Reading Counts!

November 24 - we've been watching Tall Tales - no homework.

November 13 - Maniac Magee test on Monday - study 10 vocab words, too! 
 
November 11 - study those ten words and recap Maniac Magee for the quiz Monday. No other homework. 
 
November 10 - We got 10 vocab words today from Maniac Magee for a quiz on Monday. Study those words! Students are doing tall tales in groups - no homework other than to study for Monday's quiz. 
 
November 5 - The last Maniac Magee worksheet is due Monday. We will start writing our own tall tales next week. Next week also starts a new quarter for earning Reading Counts points. Students need 15 points each quarter. 
 
November 2 - collected worksheet 3 from Maniac Magee. Worksheet 4 was handed out and is due next Monday. Reading Counts points are due Thursday by 3:00!! 
 
October 29 - We've been plugging through Maniac Magee - the 3rd worksheet is due November 2. The end of the quarter is November 6, so Reading Counts quizzes should be done that day for the quarter. 
 
October 22 - Be careful as you finish the worksheet for the remainder of part I - vocab words need definitions and sentences. Worksheet 2 is due Monday the 26. Don't forget to keep up with your Reading Counts points! 
 
October 20 - Read the remainder of Part I in Maniac Magee and do the worksheet for Monday, October 26.
 
6th graders are busy with Reading Counts. Your student should be reading 20 to 30 minutes a day. They have to earn 15 points by the end of the quarter.
 
 
October 12 - We are starting Maniac Magee today. Students need to read chapter 1 - 8 and do the worksheet over MEA break. Remember, Reading Counts points are due the first week of November. They need to read 15 points each quarter.
