Ms. Shea
Welcome, families! This is my fifth year teaching at St. Wenceslaus School.
I am an alumna of
this wonderful school and New Prague High School. I attended the College of
St. Benedict and
earned a major in Elementary Education, as well as a minor in mathematics. It
was always my
dream to return here as a teacher, and my dream came true! I have enjoyed
teaching first,
second, fifth, and sixth grades!
Since accepting this job, I have also continued my professional development.
I have attended
classes about virtual field trips, literacy, differentiated instruction,
Autism, and many others. I
also was trained in Responsive Classroom last summer. In January of 2007, I
started a Masters
program at the University of St. Thomas. When I am completed with the program
in three years,
I will earn a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a K-12
Literacy Certificate. I enjoy
applying my learning to my classroom!

Welcome to fifth grade. This is my 7th year at St. Wence and my 11th year
of teaching. I grew up in Jordan and attended Minnesota State University at
Mankato after high school.
During my years of teaching, I have continued to stay updated on
educational trends. I received my Master of Education from St. Mary's. I
continue to attend workshop and take class both in the summer and during the
school year. Most recently I attended a workshop to be sure that we are
meeting the algebra standards to get the students prepared by the end of 8th
grade. I also took classes this summer on virtual field trips and Responsive
classroom.
In my spare time I enjoy sports, playing games and spending time with my
family.

Hello St. Wenceslaus Families:
This is my 4th year teaching at St. Wenceslaus as a 6th-5th grade teacher and
lovin' it!
I grew up in Montgomery and graduated from Minnesota State - Mankato formerly
known as Mankato State University and earned a degree in Business Management.
After working in the business world for many years I decided to go back to
college and earn a degree in teaching. I received my teaching degree with a
Masters in Education from The College of St. Catherine's in December of 2003 and
was hired by St. Wenceslaus in 2004.
I have been blessed with three beautiful children and a wonderful husband. In
my free time, I like to be with family and friends, on the golf course or a
warm sunny beach.
