About The Teacher
Welcome to my website! This is my 24th year in the teaching ministry. Prior to teaching at Bloomington Lutheran School I taught second grade at Living Hope Lutheran in Shakopee/Savage; second through fourth grade at St. Matthew's Lutheran School in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; and third and fourth grades at St. Andrew's Lutheran School in inner city Chicago. Over the years I've been privileged to coach all sports in grades 5-8 and direct a Junior and Senior Choir as well. Prior to teaching I worked for several years at The University of Notre Dame where I worked with famous athletes like Joe Montana, Bill Lambeir, Vegas Ferguson and Kelly Tripucka. My boss was the fencing coach so I met alot of people in those six years. I also worked for a photo typesetting/print shop company for a year to supplement my income. Then I went to college. My education includes a BS degree with a music minor from Dr. Martin Luther College in 1986 and a Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership from Silver Lake College in 2001. I've also had several student teachers over the years, and I continue to take graduate courses to keep current in the educational field. My hobbies include singing and playing the guitar, photography, electronics and doing yard work. I have a BishPoo which is a Bishon and Poodle mix. Her name is Jasmin and she is only a couple of months old. Teaching is my life. I put my heart and soul into everything I do. I welcome the opportunity to teach the kids more about Jesus so we can grow together in our faith. I look forward to meeting you someday and even working with you and your child if it's your desire.
