Joyful Noise Newsflash

Monday, December 14, 2009
The following note will be sent home with your child tomorrow.
Please sign and return it to school by the date listed.
Also, Mrs. Zahn, the Voices in Praise BLC Senior Choir Director, extended an invitation to JN students who will be in town on Christmas Eve to sing the song, Peace, Peace with the Senior Choir for the Candlelight Service.  (We sang the song on the CD with the Senior Choir.)  If your child is interested, rehearsal will be at BLC on Wed., Dec. 23, at  6:45PM.  If your child is unable to be at the rehearsal, they still are invited to sing at the end of the Candlelight Service which begins at 10PM on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2009, at BLC. Students should just gather together behind the organ area before the song. It will be the very last song of the service.  I know that many students have other plans and that's fine.  If your child plans to be singing, have them let me know so I can give Mrs. Zahn a count of how many will participate.
Thanks so much.
Mrs. Marti
Apologies for the right alignment. I can't switch it!

Dear Joyful Noise Parents,

Students in Joyful Noise will sing on Monday, December 21, 2009, at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.  We plan to leave school on the bus around 10:00AM and will return around 12:30PM.   Please make sure your child WEARS their black/white clothing to school.  They may bring clothes to change into later in the day, if they wish.  There will be no time to change before leaving.

This is an excellent opportunity to represent our school to lots of people traveling during this busy Christmas season. Hearing the Christmas carols brings a smile to harried travelers. In the past, we’ve received many positive comments and I’ve also had numerous requests to bring the group back this year!

We will be singing in the mezzanine level above ticketing, outside of the secured area.  Our program of Christmas Carols will last approximately 45 minutes.  Your child needs permission to attend this event.  The trip involves a bus ride, a subway ride and a trek through the airport. We have lots of fun! Please return the slip to me by Wednesday, December 16, 2009.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Marti
