                   STAR OF THE WEEK INFORMATION

To celebrate your special child, s/he will be named Star of the 
Week for one week of the school year.  On the first day of the week 
your child is asked to bring some items to be put on display in our 
classroom: photographs, favorite books and toys, a collection, 
trophies and awards, etc.  Also during that week, the stars mom 
and/or dad are invited to visit our class and share a hobby, career, 
or interest.  The possibilities are endless: reading a story, 
demonstrating a craft or a food recipe, instructing about fire 
safety, pet responsibility, or the danger of strangers, telling 
about holidays in other countries, sharing your knowledge of plants, 
computers, or wolves, sharing a storybook with a puppet, telling 
about your occupation, etc.  This sharing time should be no longer 
than 10 minutes.  This does not need to be a big, elaborate 
presentation.  Just share something from your life with us.  Please 
contact Mrs. Von Eschen to schedule your sharing time.
